The data flow from federal to state forms does not happen automatically. Some data is passed from the State grid into the state forms. Once enabled, you can manage and make edits from the state data grid by state.
Extension Data Grid
When you start an engagement you will only see the extension data grid until you take steps to finalize that grid. Once finalized, the State grid becomes available.
The extension data grid will flow to the extensions.
State Data Grid
The State Data Grid will flow to the state forms. After entering your data into the State Data Grid, the state forms will populate with the information from your federal return and any state modifications.
Be sure to save your changes.
