What Is Okta?
Okta is an identity and access management company based in San Francisco, CA. It provides cloud software that helps companies manage secure user authentication for web-based software applications. K1x uses Okta's enterprise-grade identity management service platform to authenticate and authorize access to K1x applications.
Setup Okta Verify
1| Navigate to https://k1x.okta.com
2| Sign in with your username and password
3| In the upper right corner click your name and choose 'Settings'
4| Scroll down to 'Security Methods' and choose 'Set Up' next to Okta Verify
5| You will be prompted to sign in again and verify with your current 2nd Factor
6| Once authenticated, you’ll see the following screen - click 'Set up'
7| On your mobile device, download the Okta Verify app from the App Store (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (Android devices)
8| Open the app and in the top right corner select the +
9| Select 'Organization'
10| You’ll see a prompt asking if you have a QR Code (If prompted to “Add Account from another device” select Skip)
11| Select 'Yes, Ready to Scan'
12| Scan the QR Code found in the browser
13| Click the 'Allow Push Notifications' button
14| You should see the final 'Account Added' screen
Confirm Successful Set-up
1| In your browser, sign out of Okta using the upper right drop-down menu
2| Now, sign in again by entering your username and password
3| You should see the prompt for MFA (Email)
4| Click the link below the button that says 'Verify with something else'
5| Choose 'Get a push notification'
6| You will receive a prompt on your phone
7| Select “Yes, it’s me”
