The provided solution may not always resolve the issue. In such cases, you will need to contact the IRS directly for further assistance. **IRS Rejection Reason** If 'EIN' in the Return Header has a value, then 'EIN' and 'BusinessNameControlTxt' must match data in the e-File database. **RuleNum:** TEGE-922 **Issue:** A mismatch with the client's submitted EIN and/or Business Name Control and the IRS database. **How to Resolve** 1. Contact IRS tax-exempt hotline at 877.829.5500. 2. Provide them with your Business Name Control and your EIN #. **How to find your Business Name Control** **Note:** By default, the Business Name Control users the first 4 letters from the Name of Organization field.  1. Navigate to any part of 990 Tracker 2. Search for "BusinessNameControlTxt" 5.
