GoSystem Integration Setup: Developer Portal and App Provisioning Settings

This article outlines the five main steps required to set up integration between K1 Aggregator and GoSystem RS (as well as ONESOURCE Income Tax Express RS).

STEP 1

Create an account on the TR Developer Portal: https://developers.thomsonreuters.com/pages/home

STEP 2

Open a TR support ticket to request that they provision the API app for your GoSystem account (see link below) and make sure the Data Connection subscription is enabled on your account.

Provide the following information in your request:

  • The user email for the account tied to the Developer Portal.
  • The required API model: https://developerportal.thomsonreuters.com/gosystem
  • Request to enable the required Data Connection subscription.
  • They will set up the app in your Developer Portal. We suggest naming the app K1 Aggregator or similar so that it's easily identifiable.
  • Once TR has confirmed your app is ready and the Data Connector is enabled, proceed to Step 3.

STEP 3

Application settings

  • Open the TR Developer Portal.
  • Click on the new Application tile that TR has added.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter this as the Callback URL: https://k1aggregator.k1x.io/integration/redirectgo
  • Scroll to the top of the page and select Permissions to the left of the main content area.
  • Ensure all users who should be able to use the K1 Aggregator integration are added.
  • Go back to the Application Settings page.
  • Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from your new GoSystem application.

STEP 4

Configure the K1 Aggregator to GoSystem Integration

Before sending data to GoSystem, you will need to set up the connection from K1 Aggregator to GoSystem.

OAuth Setup Instructions

    • Open the "Tenant Settings" page and expand the "GoSystem Data Integration" -or- the "Onesource Income Tax Express RS Data Integration" section (based on your TR product).
    • Enter your Client ID and Secret in the corresponding fields.

    STEP 5

Click the Test button from the K1 Aggregator integration page. You should see the GoSystem login screen.

You should now be able to send investment activity data from K1 Aggregator.

This integration process supports both the GoSystemRS and Onesource Income Tax Express RS products, the only difference is that you will enter your Client ID and Client Secret in the ONESOURCE Income Tax Express Tenant Settings section in K1 Aggregator.
