Partial Packet Functionality in K1 Aggregator
Search
Overview
K1 Aggregator's Partial Packet feature allows you to upload portions of K-1 packets as they arrive, eliminating the need to wait for complete packages before beginning your processing workflow. This functionality enables you to upload federal K-1s, state K-1s, and K-3s immediately upon receipt, significantly accelerating your tax preparation process during busy seasons.
Benefits
- Upload individual forms as they arrive rather than waiting for complete packages
- Eliminate manual work of combining multiple PDFs into a single document
- Begin analyzing available data sooner, even before all parts of the K-1 are received
How to Upload Partial Packets
Follow these simple steps to upload a partial packet to an existing investment:
- For Tax Year 2024 only, open the desired instance/entity in K1 Aggregator
- Locate the investment that you'd like to upload partial packets to
- Click the three dots (⋮) to the far right on the row of the investment to open the action menu
- Select "Upload with K-1 Reader" from the dropdown menu
- In the dialog box that appears, drag and drop the partial K-1 PDF file into the designated area
- Click the "Upload" button to begin processing
Results
After processing completes:
- The partial packet will be automatically added to the applicable section of the investment
- All data from partial packets will be aggregated together in the investment view
Notes
- You can continue to upload additional partial packets as they become available
- The system will update investment data as new information becomes available from subsequently uploaded packets
