Acceptance Acknowledgment Timestamp
The acceptance acknowledgment postmark timestamp is included in your acknowledgment XML file.
The acceptance acknowledgment postmark timestamp is included in your acknowledgment XML file. The timestamp will not be in your local timezone and will instead be set to UTC timezone.
UTC is 4 hours ahead of US Eastern Time.
For example, if you submit a return at 3:30 pm EST, you may expect to see 15:30 in the acknowledgment. Instead the timestamp will be displayed in UTC which is +4 hours from EST, therefore the timestamp will be 19:30 (15:30 + 4 hours).
UTC is used in many Internet and World Wide Web standards. The Network Time Protocol (NTP), designed to synchronize the clocks of computers over the Internet, transmits time information from the UTC system.
