Creating a New Project
Creating a new project in K1 Creator sets up a single entity with all the details needed to manage investors, allocations, and K-1 packages for that partnership.
How to Create a New Project

From the Projects Dashboard, click Add New Project.

Complete the setup modal with the fields in the table below:

Your Tenant is automatically populated, you do not need to enter it.

Click Save to create the project.

After Creating a Project
Once a project is created, you are taken directly into the entity-level workflow. Use the left-hand navigation to proceed through the setup steps:

💡 Jurisdictions, Allocation Codes, K-1 Builder, Statements, and K-1 Packager are not active until at least one investor has been added. |
Tips
- Client ID appears as a column on the Projects Dashboard, making it easy to search and identify projects by your internal identifiers.
- Due Date appears on the dashboard and can be used for planning and sorting.
