How to Request a Move of K1 Aggregator Instances to Another Tenant

K1x Support can move instances from one tenant to another, for example when a client hands work to a preparer who uses a separate tenant. You request the move by contacting Support. This article explains what to send and what to expect.

Before you begin

  • The destination tenant must already exist. If it does not, ask Support to set it up as part of the request.
  • K1x Support may confirm the request with the owners of both tenants before the move.
  • Moves happen within one K1 Aggregator environment. Instances cannot be moved between environments.

        Request a move

        1. Email support@k1x.io or submit a support request.
        2. Include the following information:

          Information

          Example

          Tax year

          2025

          Instance or instances to move

Instance name or number for each instance

          Source tenant

The tenant that holds the instances now

          Destination tenant

The tenant that should receive them

          Approval

Confirmation from both tenant owners, if Support asks for it

        3. Support confirms the details and completes the move.
        4. Sign in to the destination tenant and confirm that the instances appear and that the investments and data are as expected.
        5. Give the people who need access to the destination tenant the appropriate user permissions.

What to expect after a move

                  • The instance is no longer visible in the source tenant, and users of the source tenant lose access to it.
                  • To move an instance back, submit a separate request.
                  • Requests are handled by Support in the order received. There is no fixed turnaround time.
                  • The CCH Axcess, GoSystem and OneSource connection settings belong to the tenant and do not move with the instance. Set them up in the destination tenant before you integrate.
