K1x Release: K1 Creator - 03/26/2026

Check out the following changes that have been introduced as part of this K1x release.

New State Forms Available

  • Arizona (Form 165 Schedule K-1)
  • Arizona (Form 165 K-1 NR)
  • Maryland (Form 510 K-1)
  • Vermont (Form K-1VT)
  • Nebraska (Form 1065N K-1)
  • Connecticut (Form CT K-1)

What Changed

  • Entity Type Dropdown — The Entity Type dropdown (at both the Project and Entity levels) has been updated to display only supported entity types. Unsupported options have been removed to prevent confusion and ensure a smoother setup experience.
  • Allocation Code Switching — A label in the Allocation Code editor incorrectly stated that switching between options was not allowed. This has been corrected to accurately reflect that switching is supported.
  • CCH Integration (for 2024) — Automatic Return ID Update on Rollover — When rolling over a project to a new tax year, the CCH Return ID is now automatically updated to reflect the new year. This eliminates the need to manually update the Return ID and prevents accidental integration with a prior year's return.

Fixes (Bugs / Stability)

Investor Information

  • Jurisdictions — Fixed an issue where jurisdiction selections were lost when navigating away from and returning to the Investor Information section within the same session. Selections are now properly retained throughout your session.

Templates

  • Template Download — Resolved an error that some users encountered when opening a downloaded template file.
  • Partner Software ID — Fixed an issue where the Partner Software ID was not being saved after entering a value and clicking outside the field. Additionally corrected an incorrect value that was appearing in the downloaded Partner Software ID template.
  • AC Percentage Template — Resolved inconsistencies in how allocation percentage values were handled across the template, input field, and saved data. Values are now stored and displayed consistently.
  • Allocations Import — Fixed an error that prevented the allocations template from importing successfully.

Reports

  • Capital Account Analysis Report — Resolved an issue that caused the 2025 Capital Account Analysis Report to fail during generation. The report now generates successfully for 2025 tax year data.

CCH Integration (2024)

  • General Partner Checkbox — Fixed an issue where the General Partner checkbox was not being carried over to the Partner Information worksheet in CCH, even when it was checked in K1 Creator.
  • Schedule K to K-1 Reconciliation — Resolved an issue where the Schedule K to K-1 reconciliation in CCH was not reflecting the correct values, causing the reconciliation to appear out of balance.
