Rollover of Investment Activities, 199A Activities and Matching Logic 

To support expanded functionality such as 199A reading, we are expanding rollover to support the rollover of Investment Activities and 199A Activities. 

Initiating Rollover

Navigate to the Instance Listing page, select instance(s), and under the Select All dropdown, click on "Rollover." A modal will appear with three options.

1. Rollover all K-1 investments only

2. Rollover all K-1 investments with underlying investment activities only

3. Rollover all K-1 investments with underlying investment activities and 199A

Select the option preferred and click "Continue" to rollover the instance(s).

What Attributes Rolls Over?

Investment Activities 

• Activity Number (in K1 Aggregator, not CCH)

• Passive Activity Checkbox selection 
• Activity Name 

199A Activities 

• Activity Name

• Activity EIN
• QBI Number 
• PTP, SSTB, Aggregated Checkbox selections

After following the steps above, your investment activities and 199A activities will be rolled over into the new tax year as selected. 

Match and Update Activities

If any investment level activities are rolled over, our system will attempt to match any activities within new K-1 uploads to existing, rolled over activities. At a high level, Aggregator will search for and match activities by their activity name (case-insensitive, space-sensitive) and activity EIN. Please review the below to understand that matching logic. If a match is found, Aggregator will append the activity with new data from the new K-1 upload.
